Etna Jeep Tour Excursion (Full Day) – Every Day
Pick-up at your accommodation in Catania / Taormina / Giardini Naxos / Letojanni at 8.30 am.
Departure to reach the Northern side of Etna. Drive up an old lava flow by 4wd jeep. Stop to enjoy the beautiful panorama of the “Bove Valley” (the most important geological site of Mt. Etna).
Visit cave originated by prehistoric lava flows (10.000 years old) with helmets, lamps and rope. Trekking around old craters dating back from 1865. Visit the lava flow originated from Piano Provenzana in 2002 (the last important eruption of the Etna volcano). Break for picnic.
The tour continues through off-road paths to reach the two little towns of Linguaglossa and Castiglione di Sicilia to Alcantara River Park. Walk down to the Alcantara Gorges (the most beautiful gorges of Sicily) to admire basalt columns formation and relax.
Return to the hotel around 5.30 pm.

Mt. Etna and its Stars (Full Day) – The Astrophysical Observatory – Thursday
Pick-up at your hotel in Catania / Taormina / Giardini Naxos / Letojanni at 3.00 pm. Departure to reach the Southern side of Etna. Visit of the Cassone Cave with lamp and helmet. Trekking to the Valle del Bove and at sunset visit of the Astrophysical Observatory of Mt. Etna and observation with telescope of the main celestial objects.

Etna Top Craters (Full Day) – Exclusive 2010 – Friday
Pick-up at your accommodation in Catania / Taormina / Giardini Naxos / Letojanni at 7.00 am. Departure to the Northern side of Etna. From the Piano Provenzana we will reach the highest part of Mt. Etna. Trekking around the main craters (altitude 3.300 mt) and looking deep into the volcano. Walk down to the Volcanologic Observatory (2800 mt) for pic nic. Walk down across sand canyons to the Piano Provenzana at 1800 mt and back to the hotel at about 4.30 pm.

Etna Off Road Experience - Self Drive Tour (Full Day) - Groups Only
Visit the volcano and learn how to hike a lava flow with a 4wd car. Drive a Land Rover Defender on the lava flows by yourself. Enjoy beautiful landscapes through several off road paths on Mount Etna and surroundings.
